The Most Beautiful City On The African Continent

Most people think Africa is one country that is arid, full of barren desert and unkempt. However, there is one area sandwiched by the Indian and Atlantic oceans are rich in beautiful scenery, and attractions that make people interested to visit it, namely Cape Town. Cape Town is one of the famous tourist areas, and has become one tourist destination in South African.

Cape Town is the legislative capital of South Africa. The city was founded by the Dutch in 1625. First, the name of this city is Kaapstad, which was originally used as warehouses or Dutch stopover during a voyage to Indonesia. However, in 1806 the city was taken over by the British, so the name was changed to Cape Town until now. Cape Town is known as the most beautiful city on the African continent or the so-called dark continent. This city earned the nickname City Bowl or the city bowl, because of its shape like a bowl when viewed from the air.

The beauty of Cape Town was amazing. Many tourist attractions that can make us feel awe. Like, iconic Table Mountain is Cape Town. One of the highlights of Cape Town is Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a leading southeastern exactly facing the city of Cape Town in South Africa. Table Mountain at an altitude of 1086 meters above sea level. Table Mountain is part of the Table Mountain National Park. To reach the top, can be reached by foot or using a cable car. Even more interesting, in this mountain there are more than 2250 species of plants, where some were not found in any other country. There's even an area, whose size is roughly the size of a football field, which is inhabited by a group of butterflies that exist only in the area. In addition, Table Mountain became one of the places visited by hikers love because when they climb and right in the above Table Mountain, which presented a very beautiful scenery and amazing.

City of Cape Town is surrounded by rows of mountains, named Table Mountain. The name was given by Antonio De Saldhana as the first person who reached the summit of the mountain. Age of the mountain was estimated at 900 million years. The extent of about 6000 ha stretching from Signal Hill to Devil's Peak. In Signal Hill, there is a tomb that is considered sacred by the Muslim community in Cape Town. Cliffs of the mountain is often used for sports because of steep climbing which almost reached 90 degrees. Table Mountain is a tourist attraction that offers hiking trails and views of the city of Cape Town. The highest point is Maclear's Beacon of Table Mountain at 1086 feet above sea level.

In addition to Table Mountain, Cape Point are also located at the tip of the African continent better known as the zero point of the black continent. beauty presented in the form of the ocean that brings the two largest of the Atlantic Ocean with the cold water and the Indian Ocean with warm water. Of course not only that, you can also visit The Cape of Good Hope or Cape of Good Hope, the promontory of rocks which lie on the beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in South Africa. That said, if we are visiting this headland, our expectations will be achieved. In addition, there are many interesting sights, like the beauty of Victoria & Alfred waterfront, Durban Beachfront (South Africa's playground), Robben Island, and much more. And, surely you all know is the Green Point Stadium. Yes, the stadium is used for football matches in the fight over last world cup in 2010. Hmm ... Interesting, is not it?
