Most of the surface of the South Atlantic islands of this archipelago and its waters are rich in very important for the breeding and feeding ground for tuna, sharks, turtles, and various other aquatic mammals. These islands are the habitat for the largest flock of tropical seabirds in the Western Atlantic.
